BEWARE: Erroneous AdSense Claims
When I first saw this video on YouTube, I was of course skeptical, but partially thrilled and inspired at the same time. It didn’t seem like the usual too easy to fake picture of a check. I decided to check the site out to see what the scoop was and who was behind these unbelievable claims. Watch this video in it’s entirety:

Pretty crazy, yet very simple. It makes you wonder if ANY claims by Internet “gurus” are actually legit. I tend to believe the best about people that I think are experts or know their stuff about a particular industry. Especially when they make claims about money they’re making or have made online. But now I’m looking at anyone’s claims with possibly more scrutiny than is necessary.
Some thoughts I had that might help you:
1. Draw inspiration from other’s money making claims, but don’t get too caught up in that guru’s magical formulas to replicate what they’ve done. It’s cool to hear about big money making ventures and to dream about that happening to you or I, but don’t let that drive you to purchase from that person blindly. It’s very likely a lot of luck was involved even IF the claims are true. However, that doesn’t need to detract from the inspiration of reading such a story.
2. Don’t let a claim of untold riches derail you from a path you’ve committed to. One of the biggest problems I have is a lack of focus and commitment to seeing one particular method of making money online through to completion. It’s too easy to get distracted with another possible method. Pretty quick you’re too a point where you have too many options, too much collected information, and NO ACTION. My advice (take it for what it’s worth) is take action. Even if it’s the wrong action. Just do something.
3. Determine to find your own methods for making money online. Most of the money claims made by experts are just marketing material. A way to get you to believe in their product, secret sauce, or methods in the process of selling you something. Am I saying don’t buy any training or “guru” materials? Of course not. Just don’t get to a point where you think the only way you’re going to make money is by following the exact same process one of the experts followed. Learn their principles, then figure out how to put your unique spin on things.
I jokingly threw out the suggestion to Paul one time that we throw up a blog, put a bunch of fake posts in about how much money we’ve made along with a fake picture of a big check. Then see if we could make money pitching ourselves as “experts” in making money online along with some regurgitated how-to crap. Too bad it already appears others are doing this. It makes the whole sector seem shady. I guess if we ever decide to post some of our earnings online we’ll have to modify this post!
